Wang Yi: 16+1 Cooperation Should Yield More Tangible Results
2015-10-19 16:24

On October 15, 2015, Foreign Minister Wang Yi met the press with Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov of Bulgaria after their talks in Sofia, introducing upon inquiry China's views on the cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European countries (16+1).

Wang Yi expressed that the CEEC agrees to the 16+1 cooperation and is looking forward to it. Built on objective demands of all countries' economic development, the 16+1 cooperation promotes the international status of the 16 countries, enhances their solidarity and unity and pushes their economic development. The 16+1 cooperation also makes the development of European sub-regions more balanced, facilitates the European integration process and thus gains understanding and support from the EU. The 16+1 cooperation enjoys a good starting and a sound development momentum. China will join efforts with the 16 countries to push more and more tangible results from the cooperation and ensure its sustainable development.
