On October 28, 2015, Premier Li Keqiang exchanged congratulatory messages with Prime Minister Juha Sipilä of Finland to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.

Li Keqiang expressed in the congratulatory message that Finland was one of the first Western countries that established diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China. The China-Finland relations have been enjoying a sound and stable development for a long time. At present, close high-level exchanges are maintained between the two countries, political mutual trust is further enhanced and exchanges and cooperation in all sectors are very productive. We are ready to take the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as a new starting point, and work with the Finnish side to further consolidate the political foundation for bilateral relations, tap the potential in economic and trade cooperation and enrich connotations in people-to-people and culture exchanges as so to actively build a new type of China-Finland future-oriented cooperative partnership.

Prime Minister Juha Sipilä expressed in the congratulatory message that since the establishment of diplomatic relationship between Finland and China, areas of bilateral cooperation have been constantly expanding and deepening. Finland was one of the first Western countries that signed bilateral trade agreements with China, and bilateral economic and trade cooperation plays a key role in the development of bilateral relationship. With many common interests, it is hoped that Finland and China can maintain the sound momentum of high-level visits and further deepen bilateral friendship.
