Ambassador Fu Cong Met with Seyed Mohammad Ali Robatjazi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the EU

On March 13, 2024, Ambassador Fu Cong, Head of the Chinese Mission to the EU, received the courtesy call paid by Seyed Mohammad Ali Robatjazi, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the EU and Belgium. They had in-depth exchanges of views on China-Iran relations and issues of mutual interest.

Ambassador Fu said that China and Iran are comprehensive strategic partners. With the guidance of the leaders of both sides, China-Iran relations have enjoyed sound growth and saw high level of results achieved in various fields. Iran is an important country in the Middle East. China stands ready to enhance communication and coordination with Iran in regional and international affairs.

Mr. Robatjazi noted that Iran highly appreciates China’s important and active role in international and regional affairs, and is willing to work with China to continue to deepen cooperation in various areas and advance the bilateral relations.
