On March 12, 2024, Ambassador Fu Cong, Head of the Chinese Mission to the EU, met with Bálint Ódor, Permanent Representative of Hungary to the EU. The two sides had exchanges of views on China-EU relations and issues of mutual interest.

Ambassador Fu said that Hungary is a good friend of China in Europe, and China attaches great importance to developing China-Hungary and China-EU relations. The year of 2023 has witnessed the sound momentum of consolidation and growth of bilateral relations. China hopes that Hungary will continue playing a positive role and working with China to promote the sound and steady development of China-EU relations.

Mr. Ódor said that Hungary values China’s status and role and stands ready to work with China to advance Hungary-China and EU-China relations.
