On March 19, 2024, Ambassador Fu Cong, Head of the Chinese Mission to the EU, met with Ambassador Badr Abdelatty, Head of the Egyptian Mission to the EU. They had exchanges on China-Egypt relations and issues of common concerns.

Ambassador Fu said that China and Egypt are comprehensive strategic partners. Under the attention and guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the bilateral relations have developed at a rapid pace with a fruitful outcome. China is ready to continue expanding mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation with Egypt and further strengthen coordination on international and regional issues, to promote bilateral relations grow faster and better.

Ambassador Badr noted that China is a good friend and good partner of Egypt. Egypt attaches high importance to the comprehensive strategic partnership with China and stands ready to continue deepening exchanges and cooperation with China across various fields to bring the bilateral relationship to a new phase.
