On April 8, 2022， Zhou Qiang, Chief Justice and President of the Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China, held a work conference via video with Koen Lenaerts, President of the Court of Justice of the EU. Wang Hongjian, Chargé d’Affaires ad Interim of the Mission of the People’s Republic of China to the EU, attended and addressed the conference.

In his speech, the Chargé d’Affaires ad Interim noted that this was the first important dialogue and exchange between China and the EU after the 23rd China-EU Summit, and it reflected the general direction of strengthening dialogue and cooperation between the two sides. Strengthening judicial cooperation is where common interests and responsibilities lie, and it is conducive to promoting the stability and long-term development of China-EU relations. The Chinese Mission to the EU will continue to work hard to serve as a bridge for judicial communication and cooperation between China and the EU.
