On September 18, 2023, Ambassador Fu Cong, Head of the Chinese Mission to the EU, met with the delegation led by Dr Jonathan CHOI Koon-shum, Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong (CGCC).

Ambassador Fu welcomed Dr Jonathan CHOI and his delegation for visiting the EU and briefed them on China-EU relations and China’s policy on the EU. He appreciated what Dr Jonathan CHOI and CGCC had done for the economic and trade cooperation as well as cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and the EU.

Dr Jonathan CHOI extended gratitude for Ambassador Fu’s introduction. He said that CGCC would continue reaching out to the world with its roots in Hong Kong and support from the motherland, and it would present a genuine China, including Hong Kong, to the EU in an effort to promote exchanges and cooperation between the two sides. He also expected further support and assistance from the Mission in the future.
