Q: On November 28, 2024, the European Parliament adopted a resolution on the relevant judicial cases in the Hong Kong SAR. What is China’s comment?

    A: In disregard of China’s opposition, the European Parliament adopted the Hong Kong-related resolution, in which it made unwarranted comments on the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Safeguarding National Security in the HKSAR and denigrated Hong Kong’s rule of law. China strongly deplores and firmly opposes this.

Hong Kong is China’s Hong Kong and Hong Kong affairs are purely China’s internal affairs. The Chinese government has unwavering resolve in safeguarding national sovereignty, security and development interests, in implementing the One Country, Two Systems principle and in opposing interference in Hong Kong’s affairs by any external forces.
