On March 29, 2024, Ambassador Fu Cong paid a farewell visit to Kirill Logvinov, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Russian Mission to the EU. They exchanged views on China-Russia relations and issues of common interest.

Ambassador Fu congratulated President Putin on his recent re-election and said that under the strategic guidance of the two presidents, China-Russia relations have been strong and robust. China stands ready to continue deepening cooperation with Russia across the board, strengthening communication on international affairs, and further advancing the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership. On behalf of the Chinese Mission to the EU, Ambassador Fu also extended condolences over the loss of lives and sincere sympathies to the families of the victims in the recent terrorist attack in Moscow. He emphasized that China opposes terrorism in any form and strongly condemns terrorist attacks.

Mr. Logvinov expressed gratitude to Ambassador Fu and the Chinese Mission to the EU for the strong support for the work of the Russian Mission to the EU. He said that Russia attaches great importance to its relations with China, and is willing to take the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties as an opportunity to promote Russia-China relations to achieve more outcomes.
