On January 17, Ambassador Cai Run, Head of the Chinese Mission to the EU, met with Maroš Šefčovič, the European Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security. They had an in-depth exchange of views on China-EU relations, China-EU economic and trade cooperation, and the proper handling of economic and trade differences and frictions. Minister Counsellor Liu Yu and Counsellor Wang Yi of the Chinese Mission to the EU, as well as Bernd Biervert, Head of Cabinet of Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič, and Maria Martin-Prat de Abreu, European Commission’s Deputy Director-General of the Directorate-General for Trade, were present at the meeting.
